"I moved here about a year ago and boy am I glad I did. What a charming place to live and put down roots. I brought my entire family with me not knowing what this place would bring to our lives. My family was ready for a change but maybe not this much of a change. You see we've lived in and around huge Metro cities in a variety of different states. I'm a bit of a nomad I must admit but this town has gotten to my soul and has stolen my heart. Oh it's not perfect but what's perfection? For me Crookston is as close as it gets compared to every other place I've tried to make home. My family was willing to trust me and moved here with me. They are now happily thriving along side me. The quaint shops, the amazing movie theater with a remarkable history. Just enough stores in town to keep your home well stocked. Just the right distance from bigger cities. There's beaches, rivers and a sunset/sunrise like no other and the sun doesn't set til late in summer and Always snow for Christmas!"
"I love the hometown feel of Crookston. Quiet and family-friendly smaller city with larger cities in driving distance for whatever you can't find here."
"Crookston is one of the safest and most affordable cities in MN. The University of Minnesota Crookston, RiverView Health, School District, Recreational programming, Red Lake River, Crookston Sports Center and strong agriculture economy all add to the quality of life."
"Very a great town to be in if you love the small town atmosphere. Everyone is super friendly and always willing to help. You have everything you need in town and if you wish Grand Forks is just 30 minutes away."
